By judging ourselves against others and feeling our life should be better or different we can make ourself depressed, jealous and behave unpleasantly towards other people. By simply changing the way we view others and learning to rejoice in their success and wish for them to be happy we can experience peace and joy ourself. As Geshe Kelsang Gyatso said, it is so easy and powerful that this practice can be done even while lying in bed!
